Earl Robert Caya, 78, a Minden, Nev., resident, passed away Sept. 2, 2009. He was born Oct. 2, 1930, in California to Earl Francis and Consuelo Decaviga Caya. Earl worked for U.P.S. as an airport manager for 40 years, and served in the National Guard for 40 years as sergeant major.

He is survived by his wife Joan Caya of Minden; sons and daughters-in-law Stan and Michelle, Ron and Helena, and Mark and Melissa; daughters and sons-in-law Churi and Steve, and Tammy and Tony; daughter Sheila; sisters and brothers-in-law Joanne and Gene, Dorothy and Howard, and Darline and Dave; 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; two nephews and one niece. FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is caring for arrangements.
